About me
Sarah Hassing is an atelierista at The College School, in Saint Louis, Missouri, where she has collaborated with children for the pastseventeeneen years. Her background in the visual arts helps to bring the hundred languages to life in the studio. Sarah has visited the municipal schools of Reggio Emilia twice, each time finding inspiration in the schools, the documentation, and the collegial dialogue that stems from the visits. Sarah has presented at a number of national and international educational conferences, with most of her work revolving around the use of natural materials within early childhood settings. Sarah is a recent graduate of the Masters in Innovative Early Childhood Education Program at UC Denver.
