About me
As a PreKindergarten teacher with over ten years of experience, Molly has developed a love for teaching within an emergent curriculum that emphasizes a family-focused approach. With a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Erikson Institute, her passion for family-school partnerships and Project-Based Learning grows every year. Planning to pursue her PhD in Child Development, Molly considers herself a lifelong learner, committed to incorporating the most current research into her teaching practices. Molly has experience presenting on family partnerships and learning documentation with The Alliance for Early Childhood, as well as at international conferences such as NAEYC and ISACS. She was also a panelist at the International Design Conference, where she spoke about empowering young students to be designers of their own learning. Last winter, Molly was published in NAEYC’s journal, Teaching Young Children, with an article on using innovative literacy practices with preschoolers. In her free time, she finds balance between training annually for the Chicago Marathon and exploring the city’s best food.
