About me
Crystal Elliott-O’Connor, MAT ECE, MDIV FCC, was born into an activist family in the north suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Until middle school, she thought every family advocated for rights and place and equity. In her diverse community, everyone did. With 30+ years in early childhood education and family support Crystal developed a unique set of skills and passions from which she works today, as a consultant. Crystal provides talks, workshops, trainings, and courses in race, equity, and liberation and methods for talking with young children about it. She holds her undergraduate degree in social science and two graduate degrees in early childhood education and family and congregational care, respectively. Because she adores books and the way they can transform, when she’s taking a break from working Crystal can be found reading and writing for her own pleasure. She still delights in the feel of a book in her hands and the glide of a pen across paper!
